My Blog

My mission is to spread the truth of Jesus Christ. What is truth? Truth is something I believe AND it is actually true. Lots of people today talk about personal truth (subjective truth). Unless what they believe is actually true then it’s not truth. Truth is not SUBJECTIVE.

Is There a Heaven and Hell?

Jan/18/08 05:21
heaven-and-hell-sm
Today in the Christian community some of the most basic and plain truths of the Bible are being challenged. I have read and listened to people who are claiming there is no heaven nor hell. They are not real places and the kingdom of heaven is found here on earth. The people who are making this claim are not atheist but people who claim to be Christians living for Jesus.

Why are these basic foundations of the Bible being challenged by people.? How do you possibly read scripture and say there is no heaven or hell? What the heck is scripture talking about when it speaks of these terms? Is it just symbolic, a metaphor, an analogy or is it just what it says it is? Read More...

Apologetics Bible - Who Is This?

Jan/03/08 10:38
apologeticsbibleSM
For Christmas this year I received the new Apologetics Study Bible. I have found some interesting articles in it already. Some are very good and some that I do not agree with completely (of course not the scripture but commentaries and articles in it). But there is a fantastic article by the late D. James Kennedy titled Christ: The Fulfillment of Prophecy. Read through these scriptures and at the end he asks a skeptic a very good question. Read More...

Do you know Him?

Dec/26/07 02:38
ultimate-loveSM
There are lots of concepts of what it means to “know” God, but there is only one way to truly know God and that is through His Son Jesus Christ. Since I have been studying in 1 and 2 Thessalonians and I have come across two passages that talk about not knowing God, I thought it would be interesting to take a look at what it means to know or not to know God. Why is this important to examine? It is because there are serious consequences with our knowledge of God. Without truly knowing God through His Son Jesus Christ you will spend an eternity in suffering and separated from God in hell. This is why it is so important to have a TRUE knowledge of God.

I want to take a look at four ways I can know God. They are:

I know nothing about Him
I can have knowledge of Him
I can know things about Him
I can truly know Him Read More...

Greg Koukl, the founder of Stand to Reason (STR.org), has released 44 videos on answering some of the toughest questions Christians are asked. Here are the titles of just a few, is Christianity the only way to God, why is there evil in the world, is it fair to condemn people who have never heard the gospel? Greg has been doing this for over 30 years and is a master in tactics, critical thinking, philosophy and apologetics. Read More...

Noah's Ark

Here is a great article on Noah's Ark. I have had people challenge me that I am completely silly for believing in the factual account of the ark. This is an excellent article that gives some insightful facts about the ark and a great study into Genesis. Here is an excerpt from the article and a link to the full article at www.AnswersInGenesis.org

Who Gets the Credit?

Sep/12/07 04:13
This is another reason why I believe God has chosen us and predestined us who are followers of Christ and that is... He gets all the credit for my salvation. I know there was nothing good in me and I was completely dead in my transgressions until God breathed spiritual life into me. He gave me the faith to believe and the ability to repent and turn towards Him. He then imputed me with His righteousness. Read More...

Sharing the Gospel - Part 3

Jun/04/07 11:37
I have been pretty busy, I apologize for taking so long to get this last installment posted up.

John MacArthur has written an excellent outline of the following six points.

1. Teach them about God’s holiness
2. Show them their sin
3. Instruct them about Christ and what He has done.
4. Tell them what God demands of them.
5. Advise them to count the cost thoughtfully.
6. Urge them to trust Christ. Read More...

Sharing the Gospel Part 2

May/20/07 11:23
In my previous post we discussed how Jesus used the 10 commandments to show the rich ruler how he had fallen short of God’s glory. We also saw how the commandments are called a tutor because it shows us that we have broken God’s law. God is a just God. Read More...

Sharing the Gospel Part 1

May/17/07 11:20
Jon Courson writes: The greatest joy in the world comes from seeing someone:

For whom you’ve been praying,
With whom you have been sharing,
To whom you’ve been witnessing,
to receive Christ. Read More...

Is the Bible True?

May/16/07 11:16
The battle of ideas continue. If someone asks you how you know the Bible is true how do you respond to them? Because it just is? Or do we have clear evidence of it’s validity and authority? I was doing a Bible study a few years ago and one of the questions that was brought up is how do we know the bible is true? Well instead of re-writing the wheel I found a great article on the web that outlines 7 key points: Read More...

There is a Battle

Apr/23/07 10:50
Sometimes it just seems hopeless out in the world. As I am writing this entry there are two people who I have been dialoging with over and over again about the truth of God’s word and they just hate God. One calls God the crackhead intelligent designer and the other says God is a murderer war monger. Their arguments are so week against God. They both are using straw man arguments that fall faster than a house of cards. I know why they are blind it is due to their sin. Trying to shed light in this dark world can only be accomplished through God’s Word. Read More...

Amassador of Christ

Mar/29/07 09:07
Paul pleads with us in 2 Corinthians 5:20 to be ambassadors for Christ.

20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

We are representatives of Christ. When people look at us and see how we behave, talk, and act we are proclaiming Christ through our actions. People may never go to a church service or crack open a bible and the only way they will ever know or see Jesus is through our actions and witness. Read More...
