Amassador of Christ
Mar/29/07 09:07 Filed in: Apologetics
Paul pleads with us in 2 Corinthians 5:20 to be
ambassadors for Christ.
20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
We are representatives of Christ. When people look at us and see how we behave, talk, and act we are proclaiming Christ through our actions. People may never go to a church service or crack open a bible and the only way they will ever know or see Jesus is through our actions and witness. Read More...

Joel Osteen - No Backbone
Mar/27/07 09:06 Filed in: False
Prophets
About a year ago I saw a recording of Joel Osteen
on the Larry King show. I remember a particular
question directed at Mr. Osteen about what will
happen to the atheist if he does not repent and put
his faith in Jesus? Would he go to hell? My stomach
turned at the answer I heard. Mr. Osteen stated he
couldn’t know what would happen to him. What on
earth????? Read

Commandments

There is something that I think we forget about our
God. He is very serious about us following after
His commandments. In our Wednesday morning
breakfast we have been discussing how to worship
God. I believe one of the ways is by following His
commandments. Read

Here is a great article from Apprising Ministries.

In the past few days on STR.org I have been going
back and forth with someone who doesn’t believe in
the historicity of the Bible. Nor does he believe
in the resurrection of Jesus. Here is a link if you
feel so inclined to read through it. Read

Prosperity Gospel
Mar/15/07 08:49 Filed in: Prosperity
Lie
The great majority of preachers found on TV today
preach a prosperity gospel. Their message states if
you give them money by sowing a seed, God will
bless you with more money than you can imagine.
They don’t preach about sin and how we are to be
holy like our Lord and Savior wants us to be holy.
Or how we are suppose to pick up our crosses and be
willing to die to ourselves. What they are doing to
God is making Him out to be a cosmic magic genie
who if I rub Him the right way I get the jackpot.

Scoffers and Mockers

In todays daily reading I came across Proverbs 14:6
and 9. In these two verses Solomon addresses the
scoffers and mockers who think Christianity is for
fools. My heart goes out to those who call us silly
or fools. They have no idea how sin has blinded
them to the truth of Jesus. Read

Have you heard of the Emergent Church? This is a
new form of Christianity that is seeping into
mainstream Evangelical Church’s. The emergent
movement states we can’t really know truth and our
personal experiences are just as important as
objective truth. Read

with, but I have a feeling she is going to be

Today in church we covered the start of Paul’s
ministry in Acts 13. Paul teaches the complete
gospel message in chapter 13 and towards the end of
the chapter in verse 45 we get the reaction of the
religious leaders of the day.
Acts 13:45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy; and contradicting and blaspheming, they opposed the things spoken by Paul. Read More...

If this is true then we should pack up our bags and
go out and be marry because Christianity would be a
joke. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:17-19
17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! 18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. Read More...

Job Did Not Sin With His Lips
Mar/01/07 06:43 Filed in: Bible Study
In my daily reading I have started in the book of
Job. In the first chapter Job’s characteristics are
exemplified in many ways. Job 1:1 starts off with;
...Job was blameless and upright, and one who
feared God and shunned evil. He is then described
by God exactly the same way in Job 1:8 and further
states there is none like him on the earth.
